Mawla

Mawla’s centenary was in 2008. During the year building works started and our long awaited community hall was opened in September.
This was a great improvement on our old Sunday School building, which was built in the 1950s mainly from asbestos cement sheets and mundic block. We now have a kitchen with running water, a toilet, very important out in the wilds of Mawla, and a really warm hall with soft padded chairs. A real blessing to the usual hard seats we had in the old building. To complement this room we have a choice of lighting from bright lights to a more subdued lighting effect, great for evening meetings. Finally, to bring our church up to date, we had new lights and decoration in the church.
