Redruth World War Memorials

Redruth World War Memorials

At the time of the outbreak of War, the chapels of the town were at the heart of life and hundreds of young men were part of the Bible Class based at Redruth Wesley.

In 1914, 150 members of this Young Men’s Bible Class volunteered for service and went away to War.
Many wrote letters back to Harry Rich, the leader of the Class.

The War memorials inside and outside Redruth Methodist Church record the names of those who were killed in action.
